ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY
Astro-English: from Astronese, the word contiguance here is formed by way of the noun contiguity meaning “the state of being in contact with something” which in the context of Astronist philosophy indeed refers to the astronomical world, hence the endeavour of contiguance is “to consider how humanity may come into contact with the astronomical world and its mysteries and and how it might sustain such contact.”
